Validity windows and stay caps
Two different clocks run at once: the permit's validity (the window in which you may cross the border) and the permitted duration of each stay. Confusing them is the most common cause of border problems.

Tourist e-visa

Multiple entries, same clock
A multiple-entry e-visa lets you leave and return while it remains valid, but the total number of days inside Vietnam is still bounded by the validity window — re-entry does not reset your time.
Government fees
Processing fees are set by Vietnamese authorities and change occasionally. The authoritative schedule is published only on the official immigration portal — third-party sites quoting "current prices" should never be trusted blindly.
